MIST Toronto 2020 Update
While we know that everyone was looking forward to visiting Toronto to play ball and we here in Toronto were very excited to host MIST Toronto 2020; unfortunately with the uncertainty of large events in Toronto and along with other factors, we have made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s tournament. Compiled with the uncertainty of the border opening, concerns with the health and safety of participants, lack of business and sponsor support as they were hit by the closures and remain closed, it was not an easy decision but the best for all involved. We’re grateful to Detroit and the MIST cities for working together to shift their hosting duties to allow us to continue to welcome you in 2021 and to look at a different weekend than usual. With Toronto being affiliated with NAGAAA, we were in conflict for Labour Day weekend, as they cancelled this year’s event in late August and moved it to September 2021. We are confident with the advantage of the extra year for preparation, we will make the experience of coming together in Toronto to play our favourite sport, an incredibly special event. So, mark your calendar and join us in Toronto next year – July 2,3,4th – Independence Day/Canada Day weekend. Please Note: The preceding weekend is PRIDE weekend here in Toronto – So the invite is out for you to join us for both Pride Weekend and MIST 2021 in Toronto. For those teams and players who have already booked rooms for this September, the room block has been cancelled and there is no need for individual cancelling of rooms. Rooms will have to be rebooked for 2021. Looking forward to seeing you all next July for MIST Toronto 2021.
